The short version

that one IT friend is a small, one-person newsletter and blog. I collect as little as possible, I don’t sell your data, and the only thing I really need from you is an email address if you choose to subscribe.

What I collect

If you subscribe, I collect your email address so I can send you the weekly tips. If you email me or use the contact form, I receive whatever you send (your name, email, and message). Like most websites, my host and analytics may record basic technical information such as your browser type, device, and general location, so I can keep the site working and understand what’s useful.

How I use it

Your email is used to send the weekly newsletter and, occasionally, to reply to something you asked. Contact messages are used to answer you. I don’t use your information to build a profile of you, and I don’t share or sell it to advertisers.

Email and third parties

The newsletter is delivered through an email provider (Campaign Monitor), which stores your email address to send the messages on my behalf. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from any email, and you can ask me to delete your information by writing to [email protected]. I’ll take care of it promptly.
